In an attempt to be clever with the introduction to the weekly lame-ass Ford music videos (ads that Fox and Ford force-feed down our throats), Ryan procured what seemed like a used condom filled with a liquid. He then proceeded to recklessly throw it at Simon Cowell. After the annoying ad filled with millions of other fluid-filled filled condoms ended (Ryan’s dream coming true), it was pointed out by Simon that Ryan’s used condom missed him a hit a FanTard in the Idol Audience causing the biggest crowd disaster of the season. That FanTard, instead of threatening to sue, quickly waved it off as a beautiful consequence for being in the same room as her idols, and said “it’s ok.” Simon , as always, looked annoyed at another one of Ryan’s displays of asininity. But really, I think he wished later, after the show, that they could have their very own private water-balloon fight.

Anoop Desai’s hopes and dreams were dangled in front of the Idol Audience two nights in a row. The Idol producers salivated as they held out until the final moments of Wednesday’s broadcast before awarding Anoop-Dog the last Wild Card slot. America breathed a collective sigh of relief as the show ended with the feel-good moment of the season.
On Thursday’s Wild Card show, the producers went past their allotted time slot (probably because Kara was talking too much) and waited ’till 9:03 to announce that Anoop was not in the top 12 (pause) but he made the TOP 13. Anoop took center stage and DOMINATED the show with his performance. He worked the front row Idol Audience Groupies like a seasoned professional. We are a little disappointed that Tatiana didn’t make it.

And oh, are the producers reading this blog? They finally put a black girl in the front row of the Featured Idol Audience Groupies section. The previous night, Normund Gentle’s impromptu molestation of the American Idol logo forced the cameras into areas that were not supposed to be seen by the TV audience, revealing the segregated section for blacks, and normally off-camera stagehands, grips, and backstage crew members.
"WTF is this? how do we dance to this? maybe smiling is enough? this must be a test." The girl second from the right was asked not to return.

Normund Gentle AKA Nick Mitchell brought the house down with his comical rendition of You’re Gonna Love Me. The Idol Audience went absolutely nuts for Normund, making him the most entertaining contestant of Season 8, perhaps ever. Doogie Howser AKA Neil Patrick Harris was once again in the Idol Audience, and Normund seamlessly shouted him out during his performance. The Idol Groupies seated in the front row could not get enough of Normund and treated him like the messiah. Nick’s mom and dad were in the audience cheering him on. Sadly, this is the last we will see of Normund, as there is no way he advances to the top 12.

The usual combination of network affiliations, TV show success, extreme tans, popularity, agents, and connections landed two celebrities in the front row of the audience last night. Ted Danson, current star of Damages which airs on FOX owned cable station FX, and Neil Patrick Harris, star of CBS’s How I Met Your Mother. FOX originally denied NPH entrance to the event but then conceeded that it would be better to have a doctor in the house in case Crying Girl needed to be resussitated.
